Scaling up of two small hydro power plants

Two small hydro power plants in rural Kenya provide affordable access to power for approximately 1000 individuals. The project aims to scale up the power plants so they can service up to 3000 users, whilst creating an enabling environment supporting young & female entrepreneurs to leverage electricity for growth and increased income.

The project was selected for a grant for project 1 in 2020 and for a second grant for project 2 in 2021.
